i never was
the one to spend hours on you tube… but from time to time i use it to get an inspiration
for hair styling (already showed you the casual sock bun that i still do a lot:
and right now i am really into it.
started when i read in a magazine how to make the fishtail braid, but the
description and pictures where a bit confusing… so i entered it in you tube and
taaadaaa a very simple tutorial came up:
... well... not that bad, i have to admit... the wheather is still quite good for end of november... but anyway... nothing compared to hawaii!!! what can i tell you... 3,5 weeks of sunshine, perfect beaches, palm trees and all kinds of beautiful jungle plants, surfing, stand up paddling, zip lining, comfort food, etc... i really miss this!! especially the hang loose attitude that was so well present, so enjoyable and oh so contagious! here are some impressions:
so... as already mentioned i surely could not resist to hit the stores last thursday evening! i was really surprised to find the whole collection still available... and this is what i got:
... the sunnies were totally unexpected! actually i was only focused on bracelets... i am totally amazed by the crocodile bracelet! i am wearing it today already! the snake bracelet for me is more for summer, because of its color. the quality is not so good - it is a bit loose at the snake head... and of course i discovered that only when i was home already. so the plan was to exchange it. but when i entered the store monday evening, it looked like this collection never happened. i could not find one single blue box left...
... that's what my bff called the ethno / aztec inspired skirt that i bought at zara...
i am wearing it today for the first time - and i really like the design! i pared it with a thin black sweater, black tights and black boots. i am also thinking about getting the jacket, too... but maybe i wait for sale... ;-)
it took a while for me to chum up with the high top sneakers, and i hesitated when buying my fist ones in UK at topshop - i went in and out of the shop like three times and tried them on twice before taking them with me...
and now: what can i say - i totally love the trend! the shoes are very comfy and they are not as blunt as normal sneakers. here are the additions i plan to buy:
while looking around for the peplum thing - a huge bling caught my attention... i already knew it from some fashion blogs and after circling it about 3 times, i finally made my way to the check-out! of course with the major bling in my hand!! i am still not sure if i ever will wear it - 'cause honestly - it's huge... but i know i would have kicked myself if i hadn't bought it and its sold out a few days later... 'cause then i really need to have it... i know... addicted... 8-) anyway, now mine:
one of the most important summer must haves for me are pedicured toes!! it is also a summer trend that will never go out of fashion!! it just looks perfect & neat in every situation: in peep toes, sandals or just barefoot! this summer i discovered gel nails for my toes - french style and i absolutely love it! for ~ 4 weeks my toes look perfectly manicured! i can totally recommend this :-)
normally bank holidays are not my thing as the mostly turn out totally boring... but today was great!! the weather was great and we spent the whole day at the lake on a private balk with friends. we ended the day with a delicious bbq - perfect day!!
